Hi April,
ReplyDeleteReally nice work on your vlog this week. When you spoke about how text was a human invention, it really surprised me in a good way. I don't think I have ever really thought about how it is a human made invention and how in the beginning we used multimedia to express thoughts and ideas, all the way back to the cavemen.
I also wanted to mentioned I can relate when you spoke of the tv cart being wheeled into the classroom, I loved those days and still remember them fondly.

Hi April,
ReplyDeleteFirst, I do agree that it will be a great class lecture when my teachers use to bring in the television on carts.
Focusing on reason #2: Students can show their understanding.
I agree that for this reason, it will provide insights to educators on whether their students are accurately/adequately grasping the information being taught to them. With a video presentation, they will be challenged to further elaborate on a subject, where you can then further evaluate their interpretation and depth of understanding.
Just like this blog discussion assignment, where our professor instructed us to compose a film answering a specific question that will then examine if we’ve done the reading needed to answer the question or through research as well.
Well Done
Hi April! Nice video along with the PPT slide. I do agree that your top seven reasons for using media in the classroom covers a vast majority of why we should include it. I ressignate with your last reason with the 21st Century C's. These all are great reasons in themselves to bring media into the classroom. Great work!
ReplyDeleteHi April! Great job on your video blog assignment! Great 7 points! I appreciate the importance to internalize learning and bring the student to a place where they can demonstrate what they have learned. That is great way for them to learn and put theory to practice.
ReplyDeleteApril, I love your point about how students have control over their learning. Motivation spikes tremendously when they're given the choice to express themselves! You did a wonderful job with your seven points.
